Oxnard is a top choice for tourists seeking uncrowded beaches. There are over 20 miles of soft sand beaches with clear water, and they rarely experience crowd control problems that are sometimes seen in larger cities. There are several excellent area museums, most notably the Carnegie Art Museum.
